Впечатление: боже, что творится в этой кучерявой голове! Более странные логические связи я видела, пожалуй, только в своей. Однако же он успешно из них выруливает! Мальчик определенно очень мыслящей породы. И даже заморачивающейся, я бы сказала. И он органичен (еще и) в роли колумниста. Самый прекрасный абзац, на мой вкус:

As human beings we are often our own worst enemy. (Мика, я ваша навеки! ) We are always so desperate to find value and meaning in life, yet we know that finding a real answer to that is humanly impossible. There is just too much information out there and too many uncertainties, so how can a certain answer ever be found? This chase for an answer is in itself absurd. So often, I find myself sitting on a train completely divorced from the world around me. My ambitions and ultimately my goal to justify why I am here and my self worth, take control of me and leave me unhappy. Witnessing a moment like the missing trousers sketch, would make me re-engage with reality and find beauty right in front of me.

L’an dernier, à la fin du mois de février, je vivais une période difficile avec ma famille: ma sœur a eu un gros accident. Je ne pouvais pas rester là-bas. Je devais m’échapper et écrire. Je me suis rendu à l’aéroport, où j’ai acheté un billet pour Montréal. En route, j’ai confirmé une séance au Studio Planet avec le musicien Nick Littlemore, du groupe Empire of the Sun. Il travaillait alors à la musique d’un spectacle du Cirque du Soleil. Lorsque je suis arrivé, j’étais complètement «jet–lag». J’ai trouvé un hôtel, j’ai bu deux whiskys et je suis parti au studio. J’ai écrit ce soir-là le premier single de mon nouvel album.
